ScotDB Limited specialises in the provision of high quality database consulting services for IBM's DB2 family of databases.

We have over 13 years experience with DB2 for z/OS (formerly known as MVS, OS/390 or simply "mainframe") and over 7 years experience of DB2 on distributed platforms : UNIX (AIX and Solaris), Linux, Windows and OS/2.

We are IBM Certified Solutions Experts having qualified as certified DB2 Database Administrator in both OS/390 and UNIX, Windows and OS/2.

We are based in Edinburgh (Scotland) but are able to provide services to customers worldwide. Currently we are working with clients in both the United States and Canada.

We offer a wide range of database consultancy and administration services including -

Data modelling and database design
Database administration
Performance monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting
Systems installation and configuration
Training for administrators and developers

We take an active part in supporting the DB2 community through our work with -

International DB2 Users Group (IDUG) : attending and presenting at IDUG conferences and sharing in the technical editorial review responsibilities for the IDUG Solutions Journal magazine.
UK DB2 GSE Working Group : co-chairman of the group with special responsibility for distributed DB2
